Yerba Buena Commons is a low-income housing building comprised entirely of studio apartments located in the SOMA area of San Francisco. We have a total of 257 studio apartments in the building. Every studio has a general living area as well as its own private kitchen and bathroom. All studios have
electric stoves, built-in heaters, and a window that allows fresh air. We also provide each studio with a microwave and refrigerator. Studios are wired with connections for internet and cable tv. Internet and/or cable tv are not included. Electric and water utilities as well as garbage and sewer services are included at no extra cost. The common areas of the building
include several laundry rooms, a gym, a business center, a rooftop patio and an
outside courtyard with bicycle parking. Our studios are leased on a flexible month-to-month basis. The building is in a great location close to public transit, grocery stores, retail shopping, dining, entertainment and more.
You can watch a video tour and view more pictures of the building on the media page.
Yerba Buena Commons is funded in part by a federally regulated government program called the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program. This government program along with other sources used
to build the property require management to screen all applicants carefully.
All potential residents must qualify based on projected annual income, household size, background check, credit report and rental history. The LIHTC program also has guidelines for households containing full-time students. These screening and verification processes are used consistently and uniformly for every applicant who applies for an apartment at Yerba Buena Commons.
For more information about the requirements and to start the application process visit the leasing page.
Please read all requirements before submitting an application.
